That is the official POV. In practise the case is shelved as a cold case, only
to be unshelved when new evidence emerges.

As you say: "never charged".  And why was e never charged? I will tell you:
because there is no case. There is no body, there is no evidence. Nothing to
charge him with. And so he was released. That is how things are done in a
civilised country. When you can not cherge the suspect, he is released.

He is entitled o his opinion. Opinions are not proof of murder.

Officialy he is still a suspect. For all practical purposes, there is no case.

So? Since when is facebook the judge, jury and executioner?

You can't have it both ways. He is either a nut case that can not be held
responsible for his actions, or he is not and then he can be tried for murder.

No, he will be tried on evidence.

Unsubstantiated..

You think they can be bought and will play lapdog for a lousy handfull of
Dollars? Well, maybe theu can be bought. As wasalready noted, it is a banana
replubic. But you are in error when you think US aid will swing the balance. Do
some research on hoe much aid they get from others. In comparison the US is a
cheapskate.

Welcome to the 21st century. The days that the US says "jump" and the rest of
the world asks "how high" are over.

But that is not the alternative. The Peruvians will not let him go to be treid
in the US *instaed* of in Peru. If he does any time in a US prison, it will be
*in addition* to his time in Peru.

That his leaving peruvian jail will be feet first is a distinct possibility.
Greater than him coming out alive I'd say.

Whatever, he will not be extradited to the US.
