MvdV> Hello Roy,
MvdV> On Tuesday July 27 2010 18:04, you wrote to me:
RW>>>> Not what the Arubans say. They say that he is their primary
RW>>>> suspect in the 'disappearance of Natalie Holloway case'...
MvdV>>> That is the official POV.
RW>> Which means that there is a case. A case of a missing person with a
RW>> suspect.
MvdV> Only in the sense that there is a file with the name "Natalee
MvdV> Holloway" on it. Not in the sense that there is evidence to charge
MvdV> any of the suspects.
On the contrary. The subtitle on the file says; Prime suspects: Joran van
der Sloot.
MvdV>>> In practise the case is shelved as a cold case, only to be
MvdV>>> unshelved when new evidence emerges.
RW>> It's not shelved, as the Flores murder has brought it back to the
RW>> front burner.
MvdV> On;u for the fifteen milliseconds it took to see that it brings no
MvdV> new evidence in the Holloway disappearence.
Speculation and discussion keeps it alive with the public and certain
police agenies.
MvdV>>> As you say: "never charged".
RW>> The Arubans say that he was 'arrested' 3 times in the missing person
RW>> case of Holloway.
MvdV> He was detained for questioning several times. As were others.
I suppose the words 'arrested and detained' are semantic, as one can be
held here for 72 hours without being charged. After one is released
doesn't make them any less suspicious characters in the case by any means.
RW>> Never charged is something you use to side-step the facts.
MvdV> The fact is that no one was cherged because no case could be made
MvdV> that would stand up in court.
No body.
RW>>>> "He is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee
RW>>>> Holloway from his native Aruba in 2005."
MvdV>>> Officialy he is still a suspect. For all practical purposes,
MvdV>>> there is no case.
RW>> The case of the missing person, Holloway.
MvdV> Shelved as a cold case.
Reopened again, June, 2010.
RW>> Since they're inept and lazy, they'd probably stumble over the body
RW>> and claim that it wasn't a body.
>> investigation into her disappearance began. A massive search of the

MvdV> Inept and lazy? It seems to me that an extraordinary amount of tax
MvdV> payer's money was spent to solve the case.
Spending a lot of money doesn't belay the fact that they were inept and
lazy.
>> The Dutch Marines and three F-16s from the Royal Netherlands Air Force
>> equipped with infrared technology continued the search.
MvdV> *MY* tax money I might add. More than enough of it was spend on a
MvdV> runawy American spitfire for my taste.
She was not a runaway. She was with a party of her classmates when she
became a missing person who was never seen again after being seen in the
presence of van der Sloot and the Palpo (spelling) boys.
RW>>>> "With reports surfacing that van der Sloot is now under
RW>>>> investigation for possible human trafficking in Thailand, he
RW>>>> continues to be one of the most searched for topics on the
RW>>>> Internet and at Gambling911.com, according to the G911 Facebook
RW>>>> Page."
MvdV>>> So? Since when is facebook the judge, jury and executioner?
RW>> Facebook has nothing to do with it. The website that he was known to
RW>> frequent while gambling online made that claim. They (G911) also
RW>> used their Facebook account to let others know their opinion,
MvdV> Opinions ara like asre holes. Everyone has one. Don't confuse
MvdV> opinions with evidence.
You should never negate someone else's opinion when they know more about
the case than you do.
MvdV>>> You can't have it both ways.
RW>> Those aren't my words, those are the words of the judge who heard
RW>> the appeal. This took place after a court appointed psychiatrist
RW>> examined offered into evidence a report he made about Joran to the
RW>> court.
MvdV> So the court decided he is not a nut case. Let that be noted.
The court decided that he was capable of being able to know right from
wrong and could be tried for murder.
RW>>>> Thus, he'll be tried on his confession.
MvdV>>> No, he will be tried on evidence.
RW>> The evidence being his confession,
MvdV> If they try him on his confession, it can not be for murder, only
MvdV> for manslaughter. he confessed to having killed het in a fit of
MvdV> rage.
That is not a definition of manslaughter, that is a definition of 2nd
degree murder. Manslaughter would be a death by accident. It was by no
accident that he beat her with a bat.
MvdV> Possibbly ib an attempt to avoid a murder charge and be
MvdV> charged with manslaughter instead. That would reduce the maximum
MvdV> sentence to "only" fifteen years.
The fact that he's been charged with murder and is being tried for that
means the manslaughter charge never existed. Wishful thinking.
MvdV> But they wanted to charge him for murder, so they *rejected* the
MvdV> confession. They suspect he did not kill het in a fit of rage, but
MvdV> that it was premeditated.
Being as they are the authorities in Peru, they can do as they please.
Joran has no rights as a Peruvian citizen, even if being a citizen could
help him.
RW>>>> He used her disappearance in an attempt to get out of the Flores
RW>>>> murder. Hoping he could get an extradition from Peru to Aruba,
RW>>>> where he could escape the bad conditions in the Peruvian prison.
MvdV>>> Unsubstantiated..
RW>> The above has been reported by Peruvian newspapers. Think of it as
RW>> an analysis of the case as being witnessed in hearings with Joran.
MvdV> All guesswork. The Peruvian newspapers can not be expected to be
MvdV> objective.
I don't know how you can call police reports, prosecutors' statements,
etc., guesswork.
RW>> There is no Dutch offering pending, except to say that they will not
RW>> provide him a defense. He's on his own, they've refused to get any
RW>> further involved other than to make sure he's being treated fairly.
MvdV> Which is the standard procedure with any Dutch citizen getting in
MvdV> trouble in a foreign country. You do not expect me to cough uo any
MvdV> more of my tax money on this pathological liar do yo?
Your government may expect whatever it wishes in that regard.
MvdV>>> Well, maybe they can be bought.
RW>> If anyone would want to buy them, it would more than likely be a
RW>> Dutchman.
MvdV> Why?
Is there someone else being charged for the Peruvian girls' murder?
MvdV>>> As wasalready noted, it is a banana replubic.
RW>> The only reason the Netherlands isn't called a banana republic is
RW>> because you can't grow bananas there.
MvdV> Wrong. Bananas can be gron here.
LOL! The only way you can get a banana to grow in the Netherlands is if
one were to fall off a cargo ship and you took it inside.
MvdV>>> But you are in error when you think US aid will swing the
MvdV>>> balance.
RW>> The U.S. maintains an embassy in Lima, Peru. There is a U.S.
RW>> Consular Agency in Cuzco, and the USAID building is located in Lima.
RW>> This is more than can be said of the Netherlands, who merely
RW>> maintains a Consular AGency, but not vice versa the Peruvians.
MvdV> So?
Where's the dutch presence you were talking about?
MvdV>>> Welcome to the 21st century. The days that the US says "jump"
MvdV>>> and the rest of the world asks "how high" are over.
RW>> When the O'bama is out of office, those days will return. The people
RW>> won't allow stupid to do as stupid does for very long.
MvdV> Obama not his successor have a say in it.
Obama won't have a successor for two years, but he'll be a 'lame duck' in
a litle over 120 days. 1st of January, 2011.
MvdV> The days of the US imperium have come to an end.
LOL! You've been reading too much Al Jazeera bullshit.
MvdV> They have overstretched their capabilities with the unwinnable wars
MvdV> in Iraq and Afghanisten and the price they will pay is that they no
MvdV> longer will be the ones that can call the shots in this world.
Don't bet your life on it.
MvdV>>> Whatever, he will not be extradited to the US.
RW>> If he makes it to the end of his sentence, he will be.
MvdV> No, he won't.
Read it again...he will be extradited to the US.
RW>> You and I may never see that day. I'd be 105 and I don't want to
RW>> live that long.
MvdV> If it really takes 35 years for him to come out,
I doubt he'll make it past mid year, 2011 in their prison...but go ahead,
speculate all you want.
MvdV> the charge for extortion and wire fraud will have expired.
Nope.
MvdV> And as i explained, he can not be extradited to the US for the
MvdV> Holloway case.
He'll be extradited for the extortion and wire fraud charges. He cannot
pass Go or collect $200, nor will he be home in the Netherlands any time
soon, after being released from prison.
