You once again make the error of assuming everything in the world works the
same as in the US...

In most parts of the world it does.

Right. No evidence plus no body --> no case.

a situation that is unlikely to change as five years have passed. As I wrote
before, it is very unlikely the body will turn up. If it is anywhere on the
island, it would have been found by now. If it  is in the sea... forget it.

Even if it is recovered, it is unlikely that it will be in gooed enough
condition for forensic analysis to provide new clues.

You once again assume thet everything works as they do it in the US. The
concept of first and second degree murder is typically USAian. Countries
operating under derivates of the French system only know murder and
manslaughter.

Again USaian thinking. In most countries the distinction between a citizen or a
foreigner does come into the equation when accused of a criminal offence.

IF he survives Peruvian prison, it will be 2045. The GPS clock will have
carried over once more. Natalee Holloway will have been missing for 40 years.
You and I will probably be dead and our children will be pansionados.

And so will all the people involved in what you call a case. Natalee Holloway
will have been forgotten and nobody will be interested in it any more.
