That procedure would be done by a small incision and a small scope
inserted so the surgeon can see where to cut. She'd be walking out the
door that very same day. I had that same procedure done on a para-thyroid.

That won't be the case here. This Obama-scare isn't anything like your
social medicine...

These days I can take a deep breath and enjoy it. Not being able to was
due to pleurisy, which has diminished, if not gone away. I no longer have
chills, fever and shortness of breath. Maybe this year I won't have to
turn up the thermostat to 85 and can turn down the heater in the waterbed.

What's interesting about that paperwork is that it's all on a laptop
computer and the files are shared with my primary care doctor and any
specialist I see.

Who is increasing the overhead with more employees, just to put the fear
of the IRS into enforcing the premiums and penalties. The IRS is the most
feared gov't agency, even more scarier than the CIA, FBI and any other law
enforcement agency.

We can only hope for that 5 minute form. Federal taxes is a year long
struggle for even the most competant people in the accounting trade.

I'd pick my days there a little more selectively. It's too damned cold
in the winter months and to damned hot in the summer. Not to mention that
the older you get, the more you will be relying on healthcare facilities
being close at hand.

Southern California has the best climate in all of the 50 states. But it's
not a place for retired folks unless you're a rich retired person.
Someday, it will be affordable again, but not until the gov't there makes
the state go belly up. If you want to experience what liberalism has done
to make the people broke, hungry, homeless and wierd, just live there for
a while. California's present and future status is the future of America
if the liberals get their way with the federal gov't.

We've lived in South Texas for 8 years now. It takes a little getting used
to, but it is a free society without the hangups of liberalism staring you
in the face day in and day out. We're getting to see more and more
Californians moving here all the time. Worse part about that is their
liberal ways and rude driving manners.
