Here's an interesting item that couldn't have come along at a better time.


After you read this, I'll have a couple of serious questions for you at the
end of this news item.


What do you think the answer for this poor woman is (someone cue the

Rape Victim Told to Marry Her Attacker or Face Jail in United Arab Emirates

An unnamed Muslim woman from Austria was told to marry the man that allegedly
raped her after she reported the crime, which took place during a visit to the
United Arab Emirates (UAE).


The woman, 29, was told that her albeit unwilling participation still
constituted extra-marital sex, which is illegal in the Gulf country. She was
also set to be charged with alcohol consumption, also illegal, before the
Austrian Foreign Ministry intervened and ensured her safe passage home.


The attack reportedly took place after a party in a hotel in Dubai. The
attacker was described as a Yemeni man who allegedly accosted his victim in a
parking garage on December 1st last year.


When the woman reported the rape to local police, however, she was arrested
and told she could only escape charges of extra-marital sex and alcohol
consumption if she agreed to marry the man that had allegedly attacked her.


She was subsequently jailed for three days, and her passport was confiscated
as police weighed whether to pursue the case.


The woman was only released after a special crisis team was sent by the
Austrian Foreign Ministry to negotiate with the authorities.


An online petition calling for her immediate release obtained over 260,000
signatures in just a few days.

The Daily Mail reports that her quick release came as a surprise because, as a
Muslim, she would likely have been treated more severely than non-Muslim
Western visitors. Austrian Foreign Ministry official Michael Linhart said on
Friday that it was unclear whether the victim would still face charges of
having sex outside marriage.

First of all...you and others in here, and many of the women who are no longer
posting in Fido, were quick to come out swinging at the very suggestion that
`women have no rights'!


Here's a woman who, in an `Islamic' country, who isn't even a citizen of that
country, gets brutally raped by a muslim male in that Islamic country...and
SHE gets blamed for the whole thing! Is, in fact, threatened with arrest and
prison if she doesn't marry the low-life, camel-suckin' rag-head who raped
her!


Get that? A woman is the victim of a brutal rape, by some pig meat-eatin',
rug-huggin' Islamist animal, SHE is the one penalized over it, threatened with
prison even, if she doesn't marry the filthy, rag-covered son of that dick-
sucker prophet of theirs, Muhammad, and where is the outrage from the women of
the world?


We got Gloria Allred here in the San Diego area, trying to escalate the
charges and insinuations against a former mayor, Bob Filner (who, right up
front, I will say is one of the biggest assholes to ever hit local politics,
or get sent to Congress from here), trying her best to get him put in prison.


And she's one who pop's up out of nowhere in controversial cases involving
women, all over the country.


We got Nancy Pelosi out here getting ready to recieve some bullshit award over
aborion.


We had a whole bunch of you gals here in Fido, railing against anyone who so
much as cleared their throat over women's rights or abortion.


But, in the face of one of the most dangerous religions ever to come along,
Islam; a religion that treats their women like shit! Like `property'! That
blames the *woman* for getting raped!


All you women lose your vocal chords, or something? Suddenly you pull your
collective heads down into the sand?


Some of the remarks made about Christianity in many of these echoes by you
Christian haters, were not just disgusting, some were downright threatening!


Why the silence on Islam?


You `broads' in Fido were shouting about Christians `keepin' their wimmin
pregnant and in the kitchen'!


Along comes a religion that treats women like the lowest thing on earth...
where is the outrage? I see no sign of it. Have you suddenly lost your nerve?


And all you Christian-bashers who were making disparaging remarks about Jesus,
God, belittling Christians for their beliefs? Making claims that `Christmas'
was only a tradition that Christians stole from pagans? That the Christian God
was a figment of someone's imagination? And some of the rotten things you said
about the Christians' savior, Jesus?


Where's the same thing against Islam? Muhammad? Allah? Whats the matter,
people? Terrified? Seen whats happened to some of those around the world who
dared to speak out against Islam, and got terrified into silence?

Wait! Before any of you answer....I gotta make some popcorn!
