Well, America the country is what we like to think as 238 years old.

America the continent was discovered and had been ruled by European Dutch,
British, French and Spaniards (to name a few) since 1492.

America's original 13 British colonies were liberated (by us) from British
rule in 1776, but America the country didn't come to be until 1789.

Meanwhile, the American continent was subject to those Europeans plus some
Russians for 284+ years before there was a USA.

Much of the land was taken from the natives by each of those foriegn
nations I mention above. Also, we as a country bought such places like
Alaska (from Russia), Louisiana from France and the southern border states
from Mexico/Spain, who lost them and Florida by losing a war in which they
were the initiator. Texas faught a revolutionary war for her own freedom
from Spanish/Mexican rule and joined the USA ten years later in 1846.

Not true at all. California, and Texas for that matter, is comprised of
a 56% Hispanic population.

Right. They consider Mexico their homeland.

Wrong. There is a tendency for California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas
hispanics to rejoin with Mexico...Being a white (caucasian) person in  the
midst of hostile hispanics, I am told to 'go home, yankee'. i.e. go back
to Europe. Of course, if you speak their language, you're less likely to
encounter such madness.

That is more likely to happen in Europe, where they have allowed Muslims
to infiltrate their countries and are treated as, less than equal among
the natives.
