That is not how I read him. What he claimed was that - when logged in as a user
on Kim's BBS - he could not find the messages he wrote earlier on his own
system.

Janis claimed that the read-only setting was a leftover from last year when ALL
non Z1 links on her system were made read-only. We have seen that the result of
that was that messages originating in Z1 could be seen outside Z1, but messages
originating outside Z1 did not enter into Z1. So the diode was set with the
arrow pointing away from Z1.

If it was indeed a left over from last year, the diode was still set that way.

The area where the information was gleened from is in Dutch only. Janis does
not read Dutch. So someone must have translated.
