I thought I'd try one of those 'electric' cigarettes, just for the hell of
it, but when I saw the price, I renigged on that one. $7 each, going on
$8...

My youngest daughter has lived there since she graduated from college.

She's approaching 48yo in July and loves the place. She and family live
in Okeechobee, near the lake and she drives to Fort Pierce to work. She's
the city's Accountant. Her favorite passtime is diving with the fishes and
there aren't any bugs down there. This is odd too, as she was born in
Washington state and lived in California for a time.

Yeup...my folks couldn't understand the hold that California had on me.
Until they came on their 1st visit in December...that caused them to move
from IL to AZ, mostly because they had family their age living in AZ and
so wanted the old compaionship. When it got too hot to rhumba, they moved
back to IL because most of the family still lived there.  My bro, sister
and all of the grandchildren, including most of mine.

California doubled their vehicle registration fees since we moved here.
Raised the income taxes, sales taxes, got creative and created a special
'sales tax' on real estate sales, etc.. What really kicks their ass is
Prop 13, that shrank property taxes back in the late 70s and provided a
moritorium for increasing that tax by %1/year. And CA is in debt up to
it's ears at an ungodly amount.

New York or New Jerkey? Frankly, you couldn't get me within 10 feet of
either state; too liberal for my blood. Kinda like IL, if I go there, I
take a round-about route so I don't have to drive thru the state to visit
my sister. She lives within 5 miles of Wisconsin to make it worth my
while to avoid most of IL. i.e. most of the former governors of IL are in
prison for some reason or other. I can't wait until they catch up to
Reid's and Schumer's cohort, Durban and put those three crooks in jail
too.
