Everything. The best thing he ever did was capitulate to the best thing to
come along since Harry Truman and Ike.

That's odd. The hostages that were taken under the Carter administration
(who failed to rescue them with Army Special Forces and helicopter
crashes), where released after 400+/- days in captivity; when that B-actor
was sworn in as Prez.

BTW, that B-actor, being born and raised in a small town (Dixon) in the
Dem held state of Illinois, was a democrat early in his career.

He realized that the Dem party had moved away from his conservative
values, so he switched parties, back in the very early 1960s. He was a
great success as the president of the Screen Actors Guild, also the twice
elected governor of California, and twice elected by a big majority of the
popular vote as POTUS. In fact, the 1980s were some pretty good years for
America as were the 1960s and 70s when he was governor of CA...

No shock and the outcome of his admin was even better.

Still, as Commander in Chief of US military forces, he was a failure.
Remember the Bay of Pigs failed invasion of Cuba? That was his baby.

Not really. Had Kruschev pushed his luck, that would have brought the
demise of the Cuban revolutionary forces and every USSR naval vessel to an
abrupt end. Without nukes, btw.

Not exactly, but close. Ike provided US Army advisors to South Vietnam. It
wasn't until Johnson (dem) became Prez that Vietnam was escalated to a
full out war. One in which Janis and her ilk protested at the time. Not
because of her beliefs, but because she was a stoner at the time. I, oth,
was witness to those people spitting on US soldiers returning from a war
that they had no choice in serving in, else prison or escape to Canada.

I recall those times as a great time of plenty. I was employed at a
company that enjoyed more and more contracts, thus continuing my
employment, which the company considered 'overhead' at the time. i.e when
the war began to de-escalate under Nixon (Rep), I was among the first to
be unemployed.

You may think you have a better perspective of things in America, but you
really have no idea.

The world and Janis have no idea what the American people think of GWB,
but I can tell you that his approval ratings in his 2nd 'lameduck' term
were much higher than the present 'lameduck' at 41% and declining.
