It is a pity he closed down that website, now the "evidence" is gone and the
readers no longer have the opportunity to judge for themselves. I looked at his
website and I did not actually see anything that I would call porn. Just some
beautiful women without clothes. Big deal.

Yes he advertised. But not via Fidonet. And the call for applicants clearly
mentioned a minimum age of 18. While it is not the kind of job I would
encourage my 18 year old granddaughter to apply for - I don't actually have an
18 year old granddaughter, but I am old enough to have had one - when they are
18, they are not children any more. When they are 18, they are old enough to
vote, they are old enough to drive a car, to get drunk, join the military and
get themselves killed in Afghansitan or Africa. When they are old enough for
all that, they are old enough to decide for themselves if they want to undress
in front of a camera.

Too bad some feel offended, but what was on that website was not illegal here.
Moreover, there was no link to Fidonet and it was not a site one will
accidentally stumble on if one is not looking for it. So it makes me wonder how
the Fidoians that rang the bell found it in the first place.

If we are going to judge people for what they do outside Fidonet and discourage
them to do something for Fidonet when we do not approve of their
extracirricular activity, what will be next? Will we discourage homosexuals?
People who love to play with guns? Cat lovers? Religious extremists?
Vegetarians?

Frans Lüpschen is a sysop in my net. What he does outside Fidonet is none of my
bussines. So I will treat him as any other sysop in my net. Period.
