TR> Well....I consider you to be the more sensible of the three, between you,
TR> McGarrity, and Ward.....so I'll address you on this topic.
TR> First of all...I don't just pull this information out of thin air, I go
TR> out and FIND it. Its available to anyone who cares to look at this whole
TR> `global warming' notion with a skeptic's eye. And when whole governments
TR> are getting on the band wagon with policies and rules that both hurt tax
TR> payers, AND cost them money needlessly, EVERYbody should be skeptical!
JD>Cut.....................
JD>I'll grant you that you can find that information. I'll also say that you
JD>can find information to support any point of view y ou might have. For
JD>Global Warming, no problem, the info is there. Against it, the info is
JD>there. The same holds true for almost anything. The 9/11 stuff, the
JD>Kennedy assasination, etc etc. And thear are all proven scientific facts.
This isn't about the `Kennedy asassination'...or `9/11'...or anything
but one of the biggest fraudulent, on-going taxpayer-milking schemes
since the Ink-Oh-Pah rain dance!
That so many people who see themselves as `intelligent', and so much
smarter than everyone else, are fool enough to be deliberately blind
to any and all information contrary to the `global warming' nonsense,
is a living testament to P.T. Barnums' book: The Humbugs of The World! .
The `global warming' group are living proof that there is, indeed, a sucker
born every minute.
JD>I happen to think that man does indeed have a big hand in what is
JD>happening to this world.
And I happen to believe differently.
JD>Our mining, both under ground and strip mining,
JD>burning fossil fuels, etc etc. create big problems.
So....we should all live in little hovels with dirt floors, without
any electricity, no motor vehicles, wearing grass and palm frond
clothing? Getting around with burros and dray horses? Huge Viking
type ships for trans-oceanic travel? No air flight...trains...
skyscrapers....All six billion of us walking around bare foot,
half-naked...
And...you and those who think like you do...have the notion that the
solution to this so-called `man-made' problem is to allow an elite
group of politicians and close-knit `climatologists', impose
confiscatory financial burdens on taxpayers....because, of course,
there must be `studies' and `research'....which can only be carried
out by the `experts' at places such as East Anglia in the UK,
and academia here in the US and Canada...which (of course) requires
the input of billions and billions of taxpayer dollars to pay for
all this....is that about right?
If they are so convinced of what they're touting to the rest of us,
why aren't they putting *THEIR* money into all this `research',
`study'? Why should the taxpayers pay for any of it?
But, here's a big problem. See....many of the *solutions* you guys
are coming up with aren't working.
Take the so-called *green energy* startups that came along in the
early days of the Hussein Obama regim...er...administration, for
instance.
I see a lot of you `global warming' believers decrying what you think
*Man* is doing that is (in your eyes) destroying the planet.
But, Solyndra and many other *green energy* startups like it, drew
heavily on taxpayer money for their `startup', in turn poured many
millions of dollars into *political* campaigns to aid democrats,
and then, after the top people in the outfit all getting nice fat
bonuses, select investors getting huge returns and selling out,
went belly-up, and the taxpayers are the only ones who lost
everything!
How can you and those of your `group' not think thats wrong? That
an in-depth investigation shouldn't have been underway immediately?
That doesn't raise alarm bells in your mind?
It should.
Mostly, all I see is a group of people (mainly leftist democrats) who
gather more and more power into their hands (the `Environmental
Protection Agency' immediately comes to mind), over more and more
aspects of our lives, with which we are expected to agree without
any questions, expressing any skepticism, nor being allowed to
seek out any information, studies or scientific evidence that
differs from what is being put out.
Does that sound right to you? In order to get you and others in
here to post nicely or politely to me, and get some of you to
cease with sidelong or overt insults aimed at me...I should
just suddenly succumb to *your* opinion on it and `pretend' to
go along to get along? Is that it?
Did it ever hit you as hypocritical...or at least `strange'...that
pretty well all the `biggies' in the `global warming' alarm group
like Al Gore and some others (and certainly lets not forget Hussein
Obama himself), who insist on raising the price of heating oil
gasoline, electricity....imposing repressive polution standards on
the rest of us little people...themselves are jetting around in
private jets, limos....living in huge houses and consuming more
electricity, fuel for vehicles and aircraft flights in a month,
than you or I use in several years? I'd be willing to bet money
that Al Gore uses enough electricity in just one of the houses he
owns and doesn't even live in, to equal two or three time my entire
year's income! And does so in less than a couple of months!
That doesn't seem funny to you? People were freezing their asses
off this past winter because many couldn't afford the cost of
heating oil, and won't be using their air conditioners this
summer because they can't afford the electric bills, due to
the rules and restrictions placed into motion by a federal
bureau over which nobody...no Congressional committee, or
full body of the Congress, has any control whatever...but the
Al Gore and Hussein Obama types will be keeping cool without
any worries.
That doesn't bother you?
And the attitude of `the discussion is closed'! `The science is settled'!
No more `discussion' allowed!
That doesn't strike you as a little `close-minded'?
And let me point something out to you here;
So far...all I've done is present some arguments from various
sources contrary to the `global warming' view in here.
I haven't insulted anyone, argued from a close-minded stance of `my
side of the issue being settled...or closed'...have in fact invited
discussion, waited for one of you to even so much as ask me why I
see this differently than you, without being insulting to me
about it.
Instead you have reverted to name-calling, insults, close-minded
insistance that `its settled science'!
That isn't the way intelligent, open-minded adults engage in discussions.
Its difficult to agree with McGarrity's self-image of his having `superior'
intelligence to anyone, when he's presenting his argument in a potty-
mouth, sandbox-insults manner. That says more about HIM than it says
about anything.
I've found that to be pretty typical of leftist democrats and their
supporters; instead of intelligent, calm answers to support their
positions and beliefs.....they insult, curse, threaten, try to
intimidate, employ scare tactics... anything but face a discussion.
Why is that? Are you guys afraid you can't defend your position with
actual *facts*? Or are you afraid you might be wrong?
One fact remains;
Nobody has yet proven they can put a stop to what they claim is `global
warming', by taking away our light bulbs, air conditioners, and
imposing repressive policies that price our heating oil, motor vehicle
fuel, and electricity out of our ability to pay for it.
So....got any ideas?
