Indeed.  There may be other choices available now, I haven't checked, but when
we moved here 2 years ago, twcable was it for this area.

We are on a 'road' leading to Ithaca, NY, but there's no village here..
Slaterville Springs is in the town of Caroline...Our "post office" is one of
those outdoor sheds you can buy at your local hardware store (seriously haha).
IIRC, the population of Slaterville Springs is something like 192 people.

I have a feeling we could quit this contract if we wanted to, but what's the
point.. fees probably wouldn't be much less, and we'd still have to get service
for our phone and television. Hate to miss Game Of Thrones afterall <g>

It's probably available for the general area.. doubt they'd provide phone

Ha.. not over here.. we have 35M up and 500k down IIRC. and that's considered
"fast".  I doubt the U.S. will ever give 100/100 speeds to anyone, business or
not.

It's related to the work we do.  As long as we need it for our jobs, Fidonet
gets use of the line for servers, etc.

We have 5 ip addresses.. 24hour troubleshooting, can run any servers, get some
huge amount of backup space I don't use .. free LD on the phone lines, all in
all, not such a big deal in the scheme of things.. <g>
