It does come down to what sells newspapers Bjorn..

Two examples...

The Gun issues over here:

A tragedy of one individual committing a heinous crime with a gun or a tragedy
when a young person got a hold of a parents gun and accidentally shoots a
playmate or sibling.

The press gets all over it, calls for gun control ensue.

What the press doesnt report is that Chicago Illinois has the nations strictest
gun control laws and also the nations highjest gun violence/crimes..


Crimes against Black people:

A situation in which a blacl person is a victim of some act committed upon them
by a white person or person of lighter color..

Press is all over it, civil rights folks get all over it..

What the press never reports is that of all crimes committed on black people,
the vast majority of those crimes are committed by other black people, black on
black crime.

All of this represent travesties, but the press is going to focus on that which
it can sensationalize or arouse the most outrage.
