Out of the entire twenty years of `study' Box did on the Greenland
ice sheet....only a total of 12 months were actually spent `on the
ground' in Greenland.


By the way....just as soon as it was revealed that Michael Mann and
his `hockey stick were not only highly suspect, and Ball had Mann's
case thrown out of court mainly because Mann wouldn't reveal his
data for inspection and review....suddenly...as you see above, the
`Michael Mann hauled Timothy Ball into court and is suing his pants
off...so there!' has since morphed into "...please spare us the Mann
issue....your very own fantasy....etc etc". Did you notice? He got
his own straw man shoved under him and set afire!

No matter....here's something I recently got hold of on this so-called
`97% consensus' thing.


A person named John Cook, who started up a blog called `Skeptical Science'
(a bit of a misnomer, by the way). He and a bunch of other `global warming'
enthuseists published a report in which they *claimed* to have reviewed
over 12,000 abscracts of studies published in peer-reviewed climate
literature.


Cook & co reported that they found that 97% of the papers reviewed
endorsed the consensus position that humans are the cause of `global
warming'.

Well....a little closer look at that claim revealed that its false!

These is no such `overwhelming level of `scientific consensus'. Its
bogus!


Closer examination of what Cook and his group did puts the lie to
the claim.


Cook & Co did a survey of the question of whether humans have caused
some global warming. A simple question. By the way...I myself believe
humans have in fact caused *some* `global warming'. But...to go on...


From that....Cook `cooked' the replies into a 97% consensus that
humans are causing a crisis situation by their contribution to
`global warming'!


So...some investigative reporters with `Popular Technology did a bit
of checking on that, and the cat was out of the bag (again!), as it
turns out that Cook and his friends did some major alterations to
some of the papers they used in their `97% claims.


For one, they claimed that physicist, Craig Idso, had supported their
notion when he had not! In fact...Idso himself said they had completely
mis-represented his paper.


Another physicist, Nicola Scafetta, was also asked if Cook had accurately
represented his paper and he also criticized Cook's claim.


So to did Willy Soon, Nir Shaviv, Nils-Axel Morner and Alan Carlin; all of
whom are astrophysicists, or physicists.


And it turns out that Cosmic Rays have much to do with the way climate
changes on Earth as well!


Not to mention (something I've been saying all along) the Sun! The Sun
had a great deal to do with the 20th century warming.


Strange....Cook and his group `misclassified' many of the papers
they examined, or, if a paper took no position whatever, Cook and his
group just ignored it altogether. Pretended it didn't exist!


So....here's the problem; Governments and control groups like the UN
are going to start programs, pass regulations, create regulatory
committees and `cabinets' bases on a `consensus' that is as phoney as
an outsider being a winner in a game of `three-toed Pete'!

And taxpayers are gonna take it in the neck (again)! And its all for
nothing! A massive fraud!
