Oh, come now!  Certainly you, of all people, would welcome a springtime
for Hitler, especially with Mel Brooks in charge as moderator!

Adolf Hitler and his Nazis assumed power in Germany through legal
means.  They were viewed as moderates, even peacemakers, by the
German people, as the other German politicians continued to make
war upon themselves to the point of insanity.  And once in power,
Hitler was true to his word, and to the German people, bringing
prosperity to all (except for Jews and other unwanted folks).

We are the ones who demonized Hitler, and perhaps for good reasoon.
But that was not until after WWII had begun, not before.

Prior to WWII we laughed and made jokes about Adolf Hitler and his
funny-looking mustache, with nary a thought about Jews and/or other
minorities.  Eugenics was all the rage both in Germany and the US,
widely practiced in both countries.

So who is really to blame for having started WWII?  To Germans,
Adolf Hitler was in the right, defending their homeland on three
fronts at the same time.
