Janis did indeed post those very words in the FN_SYSOP echo.

Please note that neither Ross nor Janis have been able to
support or substantiate anything they have said.  It is all
a bunch of nonsense, intended to inflame.

Are you an "extreme authoritarian", Joe?  Do you believe anything
and everything that Ross and/or Janis tells you to be true, even
when no evidence has ever been presented, or with no chance of
the individual who is being slammed to be able to contest those
accusations?

Why is Ross and Janis and a few others making me the subject
in an echo I have no read/write access to?  Why do those very
same people want to make that echo a secret echo, not to be
seen by anybody who is not a fidonet sysop?

The tactic used by Ross and Janis is known as an informal fallacy,
specifically a loaded question or complex question fallacy.

"Have you stopped beating your wife?" is of this same type.
Whether the respondent answers yes or no, in so doing he will
admit to having a wife and having beaten her at some time in
the past.

You see, Joe, I ain't stupid.  Not gonna fall for that old trick.
Did Ross put you up to that?  Or was it Janis?

Why would Ross (and by extension, Janis) do this?  Because
this type of question attempts to limit direct replies to be
those that serve the questioner's (Ross & Janis) agenda.

In this case, a hidden agenda.  But an agenda all the same.

Are you their tool, Joe?  What else would they have you do?
I hope at least you have brains enough to charge them for your
services.  You could make a mint.

I could answer this type of question in this manner -

"Then please explain, how could I possibly have beaten a wife
that I've never had?"

But then the bully will will make a further accusation of
dodging the question.

In which case the only possible answer to these types of nonsense
questions is this response -

"I neither did nor do I now"

Do your own research before you believe an accusation.
Just because someone you think you trust tells you a story
does not make it true.  People lie.  Even those you love
and hold dear.

Think about it, Joe.  Everybody is capable of lying.
Most people have an agenda.  Not everybody has a hidden
agenda, but most people do have an agenda.

When someone does something that will hurt their agenda,
then they will falsely accuse that someone in order to keep
their own agenda (especially if it is a hidden agenda) going.

Let me encourage not only you, but everybody, to do their
own research - especially when you hear or read accusations.
Do not believe someone is guilty simply because so-and-so
said so.  Even if that so-and-so is a close friend or member
of your own family.

If you do not do your own research you become as guilty as
those who make the false accusation(s) themselves.

Lynch mobs were formed by one or two people getting a crowd
riled up to do their bidding.  There was no justice, even though
those who did the lynching viewed themselves as godly people.
Didn't matter who provided the rope, tied the noose, or who
slapped the horse's behind.  It was one less nigger the town
had to worry about, and that is all that mattered.

Time for you to start doing your own research now, Joe.
Unless you want to continue allowing yourself to be used
as a fool.
