No occupied peoples want an occupier to remain in their midst.
We occupied Germany after WWII.  The German people cheered when
we finally left, ten years after the war had ended.  We occupied
Japan after WWII.  The Japanese people cheered when we finally
left, five years after the war had ended.  We occupied Iraq for
ten years after overthrowing their dictator.  The Iraqi people
cheered when we finally left.  We occupied Afghanistan, just as
the Russians did, and the Afghan people will be dancing in the
streets when our last soldier has finally left their country.

If we are all about freedom and justice, why do we send in
men with guns and tanks trying to enforce our version of freedom
and justice on others who do not want it?

If a people are to be free, they must be free to choose their
own kind of freedom.  Not have somebody else's freedom imposed
upon them at the end of the barrel of a gun.

We burned down Toronto.  Maybe next time we'll burn down Ottawa.

Commander in Chief is a military rank.

First you gotta find them.  Starting at home.  Kinda hard to do
in a free and open society.  But thanks to the Patriot Act, anything
is possible.

Canadian textbooks are sure to include a section about Americans
burning down Toronto, just as American textbooks are sure to include
a section about the British retaliating by burning down Washington,
DC.  But in American textbooks we do not call it a British retaliation.
After all, we're the good guys.  ;)
