 You can only blame them, that the defences were not sufficient. I believe
 consultants from abroad are involved this time.

 It happens that the slopes of volcano's are very fertile and the odds are
 in favour of living there.

 Yes the help is mutual, the farmers on the slopes provide food, for those
 who dwell in places were crops are poor or non existent.

 Yes in the same vain, I never understood, that San Francisco was rebuilt and
 that people dare to live in the regeon of the San Adreas Fault.
 I also do not understand that people choose to live in areas where there
 is no water and where there are forrest fires at intervals that are much
 shorter than eruptions of volcanos.
 And what to think of all those who choose to live in tornado alley in
 houses, that cannot stand the forces of the high winds.

 Apparently there is a need for such mediation, and that mediation has a value.
 I suppose you did not spend your working life without compensation.

 You have a distorted view on why tax has to be paid. Some of the spending may
 not be of your likes, but others will moan on spendings where you have
 benefit.

 It may be new to you, but humanity is driven by greed and the drive of
 procreation.
