The more humane way would be to purchase these dogs from responsible breeders
who've taken the time to breed for proper temperment in their bloodline and ban
those who don't have a clue when it comes to training from owning them. It's
not the dog.

Oh?  I thought you've been there for 30+ years?  Did you not get a CSV when you
entered Australia being you're a New Zealander? If so, you are eligable
according to Australia's Department of Immigration and Border Patrol.  Here,
you should go check it out.  Afterall, you're paying taxes, might as well get a
return on your investment...
