Supposedly I am better able to access the risk than a dog however well trained,
and unlikely to make a mistake and tear the throat out of some old lady or
little kid who was no threat at all.

Also I am not equipped with such big teeth so when I bite someone they don't
lose their face or throat.

Nope I'm not saying that the rest of the world is wrong - just that Australia's
model works for them. Economies of administering these things makes it
easier/cheaper just to not have that breed of dog in people's back yards.

Blaming the owner after the fact does not help bring the old lady back from the
grave or restore the face of the little kid.
