Once upon a time, a long time ago, that is what the vast
majority of people believed - the only evidence they knew
being the evidence of what they could see with their very
own eyes.  The earth was flat, and if one would walk far
enough he or she would fall off the edge and fall into
the abyss.

Christopher Columbus did not believe the earth was round,
as he set out to prove its true shape by sailing westward
to China rather than eastward.  Of course, we know better
than to believe the earth is shaped like a pear, but this
was a few centuries ago, so do give the poor chap a break.

Just over a century ago, use of x-rays gave doctors the
false idea that the innards of people were misshapen.
This led to surgeries that were totally unnecessary, and
more than a few people suffered greatly, or even died
needlessly.  How did this happen?  Well, cadavers were
examined lying down.  Live people were x-rayed standing
up.

We think we know everything there is to know or can be
known about global warming (climate change).  Or it least
the main cause(s).  And we have attributed that cause(s)
to being manmade.

However, the reality is that global warming/climate change
has always occurred throughout history, including human
history, but not exclusively so.  In addition, the same
conditions that exist today in regards to global warming
(climate change) in certain parts of world are exactly
the same conditions that existed centuries ago (i.e,,
Mayan civilization collapse, documented in scientific
journals - references available on request).

Many people are misinformed or uninformed on the subject.
Especially in this country, which prides itself by electing
the most brilliant leaders the world has ever known, such
as George W. Bush ("Is our children learning?")
