Political apathy is a sign of stability.  No change
was needed or wanted, as sysops and non-sysops were
happy with the status quo.  Or so they thought.

Change does not happen suddenly.  Except in very
rare cases.  And this change did not happen overnight.

This attempted power grab was in the making for over
ten years, not a "suddenly something happened" sort of
thing.  The three amigos had planned this coup for some
time, it being one of a series of failed attempts to
thwart the wishes of the greater international community
of fidonet sysops.

 BF> make sure that their stolen echo and file-echo FIDONEWS was the only one

Not many people were interested in their bogus newsletter,
or whateveryouwanttocallit.

Including the late Roy Witt, who could never get enough.  :)

Au contraire.  The Fidoweb is everywhere.  There is noplace
The Troika can hide.  Not even in Z1.  They have made themselves
a prisoner, a prisoner of their own making.  With a little help
from their friends, as the Beatles would say.

What happened to the old Z1 Troika?  And where is the Z2 Troika?
And the Z3 Troika?  And the Z4 Troika?  Certainly you can't mean
to tell me there is only one?

Old Troika + New Troika = Gang of Six

I think it is time to put an end to the fabrication of there
being a Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4.  After all, there is only one Fidoweb.
A Fidoweb that serves us ALL.
