Hello Everybody,

Ross Cassell has made a very revealing comment in
the FN_SYSOP echo, telling the world why he has
continued his decade-long war with Björn Felten -

"Felten still takes his US swipes, isn't that

Well, I have some news for Mr. Cassell.
Randy Newman is still playing his piano.
And while playing his piano, singing a
tune he wrote in 1972 called "Political
Science" - a short little ditty barely
two minutes long.

Most people who do not know Randy Newman
remember him as the pianist who gave us the
song "Short People" - which is a wonderful
song, poking fun of those who live under
tables and inside of shoe boxes.  "Short
people got nobody to love ..." oh what
joy he was to listen to.  Or maybe he was
poking fun at himself, being of lesser
height.  Nah.  He also poked fun of fat
people, and skinny people, and gay people,
and all other kind of people - basically
everybody.

Back to "Political Science" - Newman's
most-requested song.  This song is also
called "Let's Drop the Big One" - with
some reporters and journalists thinking
he was really being serious.

And who knows?  Maybe he was.  Here is
what he had to say in answer to his critics -

"Do I look like the sort of guy to bomb
London, import black slaves to America,
tickle people for kicks or think that
all that the Chinese do is eat rice all
day?" - Randy Newman, in defense of
himself in regards to "Political Science"

Notice Randy Newman has never apologized
for having performed his beloved song.

Notice "Political Science" is Randy Newman's
most popular and most requested song, especially
among American audiences.

Ross Cassell has accused Björn Felten of
expressing anti-American sentiment.  I am
sure that many people have said the same
in regards to Randy Newman.

But is it really anti-American to express
what many regard as being the truth?
