Hello Everybody,

Our esteemed editor/moderator of the Fidonews
hath offended the one who pretends to be editor,
but not moderator, of the Fidonews, by making
a comment she deems to be offensive for some
unstated reason (or perhaps for no reason at
all) -

What is it that makes you so easily offended? Is it the USAian
word, or what?

Yes, I too think we had a nice and friendly conversation going.
But suddenly you choose to be offended by what I wrote. Why? Was
it the "USAian" word or what?

Surely you know that when it comes to obesity, the USAians are
the world leaders and therefore the global symbol of that? Anybody
who have walked the streets of Manhattan or almost anywhere else
in the USA have seen the most incredible obesity examples imaginable.

Alas, great talking to you Janis, until you were so easily offended.

Björn really should have known better.

I have learned, from experience, not to do what Björn has done.

Got myself slapped.  Really hard.  By very pretty women.
Yes, it did take me a few times to get the picture.
But at least I learned my lesson, and no longer get slapped.

But apparently some people never learn.

Never, never, never ask a woman how much she weighs.
Never, never, never criticize a woman's weight.
Never, never, never mention what a woman's weight might be.
Even if you mean it as a compliment.

Yes, America has the most fatsos in the world.
At least 34% of the American population, as whole.
The highest percentage being in the South.

There are many different stages of fatness.
Some folks are just overweight.  Not really
a big issue for most people, except after
the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays,
which is why most Americans who want to diet
do so in the month of January.

That's right.  The best get rich quick
scheme in existence is to write a cookbook
so as to sell it to Americans in the month
of January.  But keep it simple.  And with
very few ingredients per dish.  No more
than five, and that's pushing it.

With over one third of the population
in America being fatsos, the different
kinds of fatsos should be noted -

* Underweight
* Normal
* Overweight
* Obesity
* Morbid Obesity
* Super Obesity

Those who are underweight might want to start
drinking a few milkshakes.  Along with eating
a lot of steak and potatoes.  Otherwise, they
might wind up withering away, without anybody
ever noticing they ever existed.

Those with notmal weight might want to keep
doing what they are doing, unless they decide
to become professional eaters on tour.

The norm for most Americans is fast becoming
what is known as overweight.  Most folks who
are overweight need to trim down to a more
manageable size.  With 34% of all Americans
in this category, this is a disaster waiting
to happen.

There are 320 million people in America.
Of that number, 34% are overweight.
That is 108 million people overweight.
It is estimated that 20% of that number
is diabetic, and another 10% on top of
that having other health problems, that
they otherwise most likely would not
have.

Of that 108 million Americans who
are overweight, about a third are either
obese or morbidly obese.  And some are
even super obese.

This is not good.

What would happen if you ate 40 teaspoons of sugar a day?

To put things into perspective -

1 glass of coke = 10 teaspoons of sugar

Try putting 10 teaspoons of sugar in a cup of tea.
And drink it.

Do this for 60 days in a row.

If you are still alive and kicking,
continue this routine for an entire year.

And I haven't gotten to the breakfasts,
dinners, and suppers yet.  Or the desserts.

Think about it.  Sugar is in 80 percent
of the processed food we are eating.
I mean, nobody lives on the farm anymore.
We all get our stuff at the grocery store.
Where everything is packaged so nice and
neat.  If we remove the processed food
from our diet, that would be a first
step.  But only a first step.

After all, we would still have to eat.
Something.  Can't let ourselves starve
to death.  Can we?

is Australian, who conducted the experiment
on himself, nobody can claim he was being
anti-American.

Unless he went about poking fun of a woman's weight.
