Haven't been off the continent of NOrth America, and unless
i go by private watercraft doubt I'll ever go now, because I don't care to
subject myself to the TSA bs.  But I"ve
touched all 50 of the U.S> states, a couple Canadian
provinces and spent a day wandering around Tijuana.  But
then, my profession has been as a traveling musician and
sound technician.

YEp.  Called both oRegon and Florida home at one point.
"Home" has been one of those rather malleable concepts for
me as an adult, it changes occasionally <grin>.

NOt that this has changed my attitudes toward defending me
and mine by force of arms when I deem it necessary, which is what spun off this
discussion.  YOu definitely could not
classify me as a pacifist in that situation.
Back about 35 years ago this guy was cold calling residences attempting to sell
Kirby vacuum cleaners.  HE rang our
doorbell, my wife answered the door, and when he introduced
himself she said no thanks, we already have a satisfactory
vacuum.

This was when the fool made a mistake was nearly fatal to
him.  His statement "but it isn't a Kirby" was followed by
him wedging his foot in the screen door and pushing himself
onto our screened in porch, that is, until I came around the corner pulling
both hammers back on the 12 gauge.  YEs, the
shotgun was loaded, I don't point unloaded guns at people.

The vacuum cleaner salesman decided that it was very smart
to immediately vacate the premises.  I'm sure he needed a
change of trousers and underwear as well.
