What the verse is saying is that if Muslims find
infidels in an area that needs converting, then it
is okay to get rid of (kill) the infidels in order
to convert those who need to be converted.

That is what non-Muslims fail to understand.
The treatment of infidels in Islam is divided
into two parts.  One group - the polytheists,
pagans, idolators, and heathens are given a
choice.  They can convert or die.  The other
group - Jews and Christians (people of the
book), can retain their religion.  But only
on pain of accepting the humiliation of being
subjugated as slaves to their Muslim masters,
and by paying the jizra to Islamic rulers.

It is all spelled out, in excruciating detail,
in their holy book.  Nobody can question it.
It is recited, in every mosque, in a language
that nobody can understand, on every Friday,
throughout the entire Islamic world.

You thihk Simon Says is a simple game.
Islam is even more simple.

In the beginning, before there were Jews, man was given
1 commandment - be fruitful and multiply.

Before the Flood, man ate no meat.
After the Flood, man ate all the meat he wanted.

IOW, man went from being a herbivore to being a carnivore.
Actually an omnivore, since man still chooses to eat veggies
if his mother makes him.

Jews have 613 commandments.

Jesus took issue with that.
Challenged the preachers of his day.
And paid the price for his disobedience.

Christians have 10 commandments, Christianity
being a simplified form of Judaism.

Dorothy Day, Martin Luther King, Jr., and
a handful of others took issue with that.
Challenged the preachers of their day.
And look what was done to them for their
disobedience.

Muslims have 1 commandment, Islam being a
simplified form of Christianity.

Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan, and several
others took issue with that.  Challenged
the preachers of their day (and one still
does).  Look what happened to them for
their disobedience.

Of course, only Muhammad Ali remains The Greatest,
with the one and only possible exception being his
lovely daughter.
