Yes, very well done.  Several novels have also been written, from
the German POV.  The best film I watched, told from that perspective,
was "Das Boot" - a story about a German U-Boat engaging the enemy,
the German commander being the main character.  The film was in
German, with English subtitles.  I watched the film at a theater
when it first came out, many in the audience being elderly as well
as fluent in German.  Toward the end of the film, the crowd was
cheering for the Nazis.

What people today fail to realize is that those who fight wars
are human.  Soldiers are not machines, or mere "boots on the ground."

The US fought Germany, twice, in world wars, as a matter of defense.
Americans did not hate Germans.  Or Italians.  Or others in Europe.
But when it came to Japan, it was all about revenge.  Not defense.

Had Germany bombed Pearl Harbor rather than Japan, the US would
not have been nearly as mad.  We might still have gone to war, but
would have quickly made up afterward, and become the very best of
friends.

But the Japanese, they were evil.  Truly evil.  Ming the Merciless
was yellow, in the early episodes of Flash Gordon.  Ming epitimized
the face of evil throughout the universe ...
