they are mine...

i wasn't wrong... i may not have been pedantically accurate, though...

if it is a manufactured chunk of silicone wafer that stores data (memory) or
performs some function with that data (computer) or transmits/receives data
(radio, physical interface contact), it is a chip...

http://endtimestruth.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/RFID-chip-and-antenna-3.png

that's just one example but the chip is plainly visible... if you have a card
with contacts as well as RFID, then it may have two separate chips... it could
easily have just one chip that handles both methods of communication...

like i said, /some/... some readers you only insert part of the card... others
you insert the entire card...

 >> those contact chip cards? they've been used for years in satellite tv
 >> boxes ;)

TM> Sure, and they are hard to copy (may be not the type being used for
TM> Sattelite TV though). The ones they use today is (almost?) impossible
 TM> to clone.

i expect that once you have access to the data, it could be written to another
chip in another card... they're little more than flash ram like the BIOS chip
in your computers ;)

"So let me ask you a question about this brave new world of yours. When you've
killed all the bad guys, and when it's all perfect, and just and fair, and when
you have finally got it exactly the way you want it, what are you going to do
with the people like you? The trouble makers. How are you going to protect your
glorious revolution from the next one?" - The twelfth Doctor
