I am so sorry for Björn's loss, my condolences to him and
his family.  We should all allow him to take all the time he
needs, as well as to name a temporary or permanent replacement
of his choice as editor of the Fidonews.

 WD> admitted to Karolinska hospital in Stockholm where she was surrounded by

Bullshit.  Not everyone in Sweden receives "the best medical
care possible" - even though such care is available for all
who need it.  The same is true in the US and in all other
civilized countries in the world.  Oh, did I say civilized?

A few weeks ago, when Anita was first admitted to ER, Björn
admitted that the Swedish system rationed access to quality
healthcare for old people in favor of babies and youngsters.
Better to let old people die so that babies could live.  In
Sweden, age 62 is considered old.

Somebody with deep pockets decided to do a favor for Björn.
Most likely even without his knowledge or consent.  But none
of that matters now that she is dead.

A wheelchair would have served her better.  Hospitals are
nothing more than breeding grounds for bacteria.  Human bodies
are collectors of that bacteria.  Guess what happens when too
much bacteria gets into those collectors?

The Fidonews should be the least of Björn's concerns.
The Fidonews should be the least of everyone else's concerns.
What I want, and hope everyone else wants, is for Björn and
his family to remember Anita with joy rather than sadness, as
they go through this period of mourning.

I never knew Anita.  I never met her, spoke with her, or
corresponded with her.  But if she was anything like Björn,
she was one hell of a woman (as Mac Davis would say/sing).
