Ärende: Send `em to Gitmo
=========================
Hello Everybody,
I am sure that everyone has heard the latest news
concerning the terror events in Brussels. Ward D.
has presented his own story, as detailed below.
As far as I am concerned, those who are apprehended
in connection to such acts of terror can all be
sent straight to Gitmo, and let Americans handle
things from there. After all, this is what GWB
has called for, a "War on Terror" - with the USA
in charge of everything.
My own comments are in [].

BF>RN>To the Brussels police for capturing the last fugitive of the
BF>RN>Paris attacks.
BF>How do you know they got the right guy? Isn't there supposed to be
BF>some kind of trial before you get an idea about who is who and who
BF>did what?
Fingerprinting identified the man, he confirmed he is the one, and he
is already fighting against his extradition to France, where the
equivalent of "Life without parole" hardly will be inevitable after
due process has been served. He will bear the collective guilt of all
the Paris' terrorists.
[Send him to Gitmo.]
He has confirmed he was in Paris on Nov.13, could hardly deny it as
well as he's on several surveilance camera's in town, in a gas station
on the highway to brussels, at the border where he was stopped and
identified and subsequently released.
[Send him to Gitmo.]
The difficult thing is, what can he be charged with? Even in France ...
[No charges necessary. Send him to Gitmo.]
He made a number of ridiculous trips to east Europe to pick-up
individuals that came-in with the refugee-stream (which now has
to be looked-upon in this different context). These individuals
are now all dead.
[Send him to Gitmo.]
No-one can prove he killed someone. He probably coordinated what
happened in Paris Nov.13 but is not the terrorist mastermind as was
Bin Laden. This guy "probably" ran a single cell and most likely
knows very little about the IS-organisation.
[No-one can prove he did not kill someone. Send him to Gitmo.]
He will have to answer for his deeds and get a fair trial, however the
prosecutor has a job to do now that they have him.
[He will never have to answer for a thing. We will keep him locked
up forever. Send him to Gitmo.]
Authorities must prove him guilty of "whatever". Until that happens,
he's presumed innocent unless proven different but will remain in
custody in the meantime.
[Enemy combatants have no rights. Send him to Gitmo.]
BF>I still have serious doubts about the effectiveness of this so
BF>called "War On Terrorism". Just as any other war against some -ism.
The war on terrorism has fuck nothing to do with this arrest. It was
sheer luck.
[Belgians are incompetent. Send him to Gitmo.]
Police officers on Tuesday intended to search "a cold" hide-out,
meaning an appartment which they figured could have been used as a
safe-house but expected abandoned. When they busted open the door
they were shot at by an AK47 and a heavy-grain riotgun. Wearing
standard-issue body-armour saved their lives.
[Belgian police officers are incompetent. US Marines are not.
Send him to Gitmo.]
One guy was killed on-site, two escaped. Fresh fingerprints of Salah
Abdeslam were discovered as well as other evidence of his presence.
They found another AK47 with 10 loaded clips, ready for use, a book
about Salafism and an IS-flag. The killed terrorist was identified
and was on an IS-list which was leaked like a week or two ago.
[Belgians are lazy and incompetent. Send him to Gitmo.]
Later police monitored a phone-call to a fixed-line which they were
keeping under surveillance and identified Salah Abdeslam. they knew
where he was since Wednesday evening.
[When did the Paris attacks occur? And Belgians just found out
where the terrorist was hiding? Or was that just a story Belgian
police are telling the world now that terrorists have struck an
airport and a bus depot, in the very city where the terrorist was
apprehended days ago. Talk about incompetence. Send them all
to Gitmo, not just the terrorists. Belgian police need to be
shown what to do with terrorists once they find them.]
It was decided not to arrest him yet because of 3 reasons:
1) There was no escape path from that house other than jumping from
a 3rd floor window. So they could suffice by cornering him in that
place;
2) There was a European summit at the level of head-of-state going on
in Brussels about the refugee-crisis. The Turkish prime minister was
on his way as well at a time when several terrorist attacks were
happening in Istanbul. Security for it all drained the police forces,
3) There were 2 primary schools and 2 daycares immediately adjacent to
the building.
[4) Incompetence. Send him to Gitmo.]
The operational decision was made to delay the arrest until
Saturday morning (today) to have enough police. The EU summit
would have been over and no school.
[The decision to delay was fatal for at least 30 innocent people,
and another 230+ injured in today's events alone. The dead terrorist
not being counted among the fatalities. There was absolutely no
reason (or excuse) to delay what should have done immediately upon
learning where the terrorist was located. Belgian authorities
screwed up - big time - on this one. And they should own up to it.
But they won't. For whatever reason, they want to continue their
little game of pretend - that they are somehow "protecting" the
people from harm. And yet look who is getting harmed. The very
people those authorities are sworn to "protect". Send all enemy
combatants to Gitmo. Each and every one of them. We will find
something to do with them.]
When French TV on Friday broke an honour-code and publically announced
that hot fingerprints had been discovered and police were on the tail
of the alledged terrorist, authorities decided to move in. Very
discretely the schools and daycares were emptied and subsequently the
building was ambushed by the "botinneskes".
[Oh, that is rich. Blame the French for their own incompetence.
That is the Belgian way. Just blame the French. Too bad Napoleon
is no longer around. He'd know what to do with those whiny Belgians.
But no matter. Just send whatever suspects who might be enemy
combatants to Gitmo. We'll sort 'em out and figure out who's who
and what's what from there.]
It was over in seconds. Salah Abdeslam was completely taken by
surprise, had no time to react and was shot together with his buddy
in his in knee to incapacitate him yet capture him alive (unlike Bin
Laden).
[They should have aimed higher. Deny the bastard his manhood.
Then send him straight to Gitmo.]
The "war on terror" was not involved, sheer luck was.
[More like lousy shots. And total incompetency, not realizing
that a holding cell is not the same kind of place as Gitmo.]
Both men that were arrested will have their day in court and already
have one of the most reputed legal counsels here. I doubt that they
will be brought to trial here because there's at the moment hardly
anything they could be convicted for on Belgian soil. There's no
lynching party here.
[For a lynching party, send them to South Carolina, or any of the
other Southern states in the USA. The folks with hoods have quite
a bit experience in these matters, and know how to put on a show.
Otherwise, just send them to Gitmo, where lynchings are not yet
allowed.]
I expect the extradition to France will not take that long and there
both arrested men will have their day in court and their opportunity
to bring forward their defense.
[At least the French have the guillotine. But I think they forgot
how to use it. Better to send them to Gitmo.]
It's up to the law, not a vigilante, to deal with this.
[It is not up to the law to deal with enemy combatants, as
several dozen who remain at Gitmo have never been charged with
a crime of any kind. And we will keep them there, forever if
necessary, if that is the price that must be paid to keep us
safe. Send them all to Gitmo. You can thank us later.]
Take care,
\%/@rd
Not to worry. Fortress America will keep you safe. In Gitmo,
if necessary. But very safe.
