Whatever the hell that means.

I saw a post from (who else) Lee Lofaso this morning denying drug
overdose in a lot of cases where `drug overdose' (including this
`prince' guy) was in fact the cause of th person's demise.

So...to put things into perspective...lets go through a list of
those who Lee thinks so highly of, who took their last drug-of-choice
and croaked as a result:

Jim Morrison:  Heroin overdose

Jimi Hendrix: Alcohol and barbituate overdose

Elvis Presley: Cardiac Arythmia due to overdose of ethinamate,
methaqualone, codeine, amobarbitol, pentobarbital, and phenobarbital.

Keith Moon: Overdose of anti-seizure medication prescribed for
alcoholism.

Kurt Cobain: Self-inflicted shotgun blast under influence of heroin
overdose.

Amy Winehouse: Death due to drug abuse.

Michael Jackson: Lethal dose of propolol and sedatives.

Whitney Houston: Overdose of cocaine.

John Entwistle: Cocaine-induced heart attack.

Nick Drake: Anti-depressant overdose suspected suicide.

Jimmy McCulloch: Heroin overdose.

Howie Epstein: suspected drug overdose (mixture of heroin and
mediation).

Tim Hardin: Heroin overdose.

Brent Mydland: Cocaine and morphine overdose.

And the list goes on and on and on and on......

Dead druggies....all of them. Nothing to be praised or lauded for
anything.
A bunch of drug users who managed to `off' themselves.

Good riddance!

Tim is welcome to read and write messages in this echo.
I find it a sin and a shame that the sysop (C.G. Learn) whose
board Tim is using refuses to allow all who wish to participate
in this echo to do so.  That is not Tim's fault.

Prince died suddently and unexpectedly.  He was never known to
have indulged in drugs, and had always appeared trim and fit.
He was a very private person, and very reclusive.  So not much
is known what he did behind closed doors.  Whether he was a
sinner or a saint should not really be an issue, but is because
of the general public's false perception of all pop stars being
drug addicts.

What caused the death of Prince?  An autopsy was conducted by
the coronor, but it will still be some time until the results
are known.  Until then, all anybody can do is speculate.  My
guess is that he died of natural causes, or of a cancer/disease
that he had kept secret from the public.

Jim Morrison died of cardiac arrest, according to the official
coronor report.  Not of a drug overdose, as some have speculated.

Jimi Hendrix died of asphyxiation, having choked on his own vomit,
not of a drug overdose.

Elvis Presley was under a doctor's care, and taking prescription
medicines for a number of ailments, including diabetes.  He died
at the ripe old age of 42.  But hey.  That's better than age 27.
His doctor was charged, but acquitted, after explaining to the
judge and jury that Elvis needed the drugs to keep himself going.

Keith Moon had a choice.  Have a fit and quit playing, or quit
playing and oh we all know what happened next ...

Kurt Cobain committed suicide by shooting himself in the back
with a loaded shotgun.  Still not quite sure how he managed that
feat.

Amy Winehouse drank a wee bit too much wine at the party.
But was completely sober when it came to drugs.

Michael Jackson hired a doctor who knew how to put him to sleep,
but did not know how to wake him up.  The doctor tried to convince
the judge and jury that Michael needed the sleep to keep himself
going, but for whatever reason the Elvis defense did not work for
him ...

Whitney Houston drowned in a bathtub.  Her daughter later followed
in her footsteps.

John Entwistle died happy.

Nick Drake took his meds and instantly cured his illness.
