Maine's suit will go nowhere.

The party rules dictate how the process works.  The people vote
for the delegates.  The delegates vote for the candidates.  The
delegates continue voting until a candidate receives the required
number of votes needed to secure the party's nomination.

The rules committee sets the rules for each convention.  The
present rules are being played under rules set by the last rules
committee, which met in 2012, which was largely influenced by
Barack Obama.  Those rules could be changed by the new rules
committee, meaning that Sanders and Clinton will both have a
lot to say on the matter.

Hillary Clinton lost her last contest to Bernie Sanders.
And all her supporters cheered when Donald Trump secured
his party's nomination.  The president's lady was all
smiles, knowing she would soon be joining her husband as
president herself.

There is no national Republican Party.  It died out years ago.
The last time a Repubican candidate legitimately won a presidential
contest was in 1988, and he only lasted one term.  His son had to
cheat, twice, in order to get the job.  And now the party is
turning to a clown to save them?

Harry S Truman was a failed businessman.  But a great president.
Governor George W. Bush was a failed businessman.  And a lousy
chief executive (both in Texas and nationally).

Unlike elsewhere in the world, people in this country have
the freedom to fail.  We can fail miserably, go into something
else, and do great.  In other places, such as Europe, people
have to make a choice while young, and that is where they must
remain their entire lives.  A boy whose father is a carpenter
becomes an apprentice, and even if he is lousy at using a
hammer and nails, is forced to continue being a poor carpenter
for the rest of his natural life.  Not so over here.  A kid
who hates to bust his thumb can always learn how to throw
a curveball (or a fastball if your name is Nolan Ryan) and
make millions in the major leagues.
