Hello Everybody,

Millennials are brilliant.  And are the wave of the future.
But they are still learning the ropes, and are not quite ready
for prime time.  Which is why Bernie Sanders has fallen just
short of capturing the Democratic nomination for president.
But no matter.  The future is here.  And we must be prepared
to deal with it now.

The following message was written by Jeff Binkley, and he
had some very interesting insights.  However, like most others,
he knew of no solution to the problem.

First they can't call it back because it is under with 10 and 30 year
treasuries so we control the cards.  We can chose to default by not
paying it or the interest payments but treasuries and bonds aren't like
loans where the loan originator can call it early.  We could choose to
pay it off early.

However, having said that, we could easily pay off Chinese foreign
debt. They've sold over $200B in US treasuries in the past year and
hold just over $1T (~7% of GDP)  of our $19T debt.  China is selling
because their economy is slowing and they need the cash to prop up
their Yuan current. The real challenge with US debt isn't foreign
holdings but the holdings by our own Federal Reserve.  The Fed with
their quantitative easing policies have a balance sheet larger than
ever before.  They are funding Obama's spending.  At some point the
Fed will need to reduce its holdings and nobody really knows exactly
how.

Conventional wisdom is that the US economy can grow it's way out but
given the anemic GDP under Obama this isn't happening.  The other way
is to inflate it away with monetary inflation (not price inflation).
This is the easy way for the government to do it but causes the most
pain to consumers at the grocery stores.  The government likes it
because the average person isn't economically savvy enough to
understand the cause and put the blame where it belongs.

The cause is China.  The solution is to shift our focus from the
Middle East to that of the Far East.  Saudi Arabia has done us in
by wrecking OPEC, thus crashing the price of oil, bringing an end
to fracking.  This is how Muslims have shown their gratitude for
having helped them against terror groups such as al-Qaeda.

President Obama has the right idea, normalizing diplomatic
relations with Cuba, ending the arms embargo against Vietnam,
and other positive steps.  But more needs to be done.  And
that means building up a real military presence in the East
to counter the growing threat that China is posing.  It is
not just Vietnam that is in China's crosshairs.  All the
lands in that area are threatened, including many island
nations such as the Philippines.

China is aging.  Its population is in decline.  Not enough
women to satisfy the men.  What the hell do you think the
Chinese are going to do when they run out of women?  Guys
get horny.  And they want to get laid.  No government, no
matter how powerful, can deny a guy his women.  Chairman
Mao understood this, and encouraged his followers to have
as much fun with as many women as they wanted.  It was
their duty.  It was only after Chairman Mao breathed his
last that the Cultural Revolution came to an end.

China is building islands in the sea.  And populating
those islands with people.  Not quite sure where China
is finding the people to put on the islands.  But it is
defininitely an expansionist policy, and with no more
one child per family limitation being imposed could be
a real winner.

That's where Millennials come in.

In order to counter the Chinese threat, the US will have
to find a way to make more babies than China.  And right
now, the US is outnumbered.  But the Millennials are
eager to help, and willing to do their part.  All they
need are willing participants.

This newfound friendship between the US and Vietnam
could pay huge dividends.  For Millennials in both the
US and Vietnam.  Along with Millennials in the Philippines,
and other countries, if they care to join in the fun.

To make this work, Millennials need a leader.  And the
one they love the most is a 74-year-old man by the name
of Bernie Sanders.  I suggest President Obama appoint
Senator Sanders as US Ambassador to the Millennials.
This will be an international position, similar to the
US Ambassador to the United Nations position.

I am sure Secretary Hillary Clinton would approve.
