Anybody can pretend.  Which is exactly what Bill Kochman
was doing.  Whether as himself, or as some other entity.
It really makes no difference.  The fact of the matter is
that none of his claims could be verified.

Once upon a time, Bill Kochman (under the name of Bill Kochman)
claimed to be a nodelisted sysop in Guam.  Nobody has been able
to verify that claim as being true.  In other words, it was just
a claim.  An unsupported and unsubstantiated claim.

Only one problem.  None of that matters.  At all.

I do not have to believe anything that anybody says or writes.

There is nothing wrong with using a fictional name.  Stephen King
is a fictional name.  He even uses it as his own name, as that is
the name most people are familiar with.  But King does not falsely
present himself to others.  That is the difference.  Stephen King
is a professional, not an amateur.

Bill Kochman claims to be an online evangelist.  That is his
calling.  In cyberspace, one can be whoever and whatever one wants.
At any location one feels like being, at any given time.  That is
the beauty of cyberspace.  It is infinite.  One does not even have
to be on Earth in order to play ...

You seem to be of the opinion that one should believe anything
that someone tells you.  No matter how outlandish.

Ronald Reagan once said "Trust, but verify."  He had it all wrong.
What he should have said is "Never trust, but verify."

Janis Kracht admitted she failed to do her job.  Her meaning was
that it is okay if an NC also screws up.  It is okay for a person
to cheat in order to become a member of fidonet.  As long as they
do not get caught.  And even if they do, Janis Kracht will protect
their sorry ass.

The nodelist has no integrity, as question has been raised
concerning its accuracy.  How many others are fictional creations?
Nobody knows.  And it might be that nobody cares.  But those are
the facts.  Such as they are.

Since this is a discussion about a religious nutcase -

"Why do you call me good?" - Jesus

Should we believe Jesus was good just because others have told
us that person was good?  Or because some writings in a book claim
that person was good?  What if Jesus was evil?  Certainly the
followers of that person would not present their leader as evil.
Could be Jesus was an evil woman.  Kinda like Hillary Clinton.
Or Elizabeth Warren.  Or heaven forbid, Sarah Palin.

Maybe we should call her Jessie?  Or Christie?
