There is the sysop's universe, and there is the Fidoverse.
The two are not necessarily one and the same.  Although it
can be, if a sysop's entire universe is the Fidoverse.

Björn is not limiting access to anyone in regards to the Fidoverse.
It is his system to do with as he pleases, being master of his own
universe.  Unnerstan'?  He has total control.  100%.  Nobody can
tell him what to do or how to do it.

The Fidoverse is something else entirely.  A sysop can choose
to drop the Fidoverse entirely, as many have already done, and
still be master of their own universe.  See the difference?

If a moderator makes an unreasonable request, a sysop can choose
to ignore the moderator by dropping the echo from his/her system.
This has been done in the past by many sysops, in every zone.

It should be kept in mind that Björn is not limiting access.
It is the moderator of an echo(s) who is doing that.  Björn is
merely complying with a moderator's request.

Whether that moderator request is reasonable or unreasonable
is another matter.  But it is the moderator who is limiting access,
not the sysop.

It is not Björn who is suppressing speech, but the moderator.
Björn can refuse to comply with the moderator's request by removing
the echo from his system, if he so chooses.

It is the moderator who is limiting access, not Björn.

Then your argument is in favor of allowing ALL to have read/write
access to the FN_SYSOP chat echo, sysops and non-sysops alike.
