There is nothing funny about the anti-democratic actions of
whom Wilfred describes.

The Z1 "powers" failure to condemn the actions of Sean Dennis
has been duly noted.

By their failure to act, it is a tacit approval of censorship.
Censorship by denying others (sysops and non-sysops) the freedom
to participate in FidoNet in the way FidoNet was intended.

Harrassment and intimidation are the only real "powers"
that such anti-democratic despots possess.  And then, only
if others allow it.

Anybody can fly without wings.  I even saw somebody do it.  Once.
Thought he was Superman.  He stopped his truck in the middle of the
Mississippi River Bridge, got out, and took a flying leap.  Without
a parachute.  He flew for a few seconds, over tall buildings (the
bridge is about 14 stories high), at least until he hit the water
below.  Not sure if he survived the splash.

This happened right in front of me, as my car was behind his
truck.  The girl I was with freaked, got out of the car after
he jumped, looked over the railing, and then got hysterical.
Then she grabbed her cell phone and called 911, telling them
somebody jumped over the Mississippi River Bridge.  Then she
called all her friends and told them all about it.  And kept
calling and calling and calling whoever she could think of
calling until all the juice ran out of her cell phone.

I had to listen to that babble for hours, as traffic was locked
up due to the guy's truck being stuck in the middle of the bridge,
along with law enforcement slowing things down.  After finally
getting off the bridge, I dropped her off at the hairdresser
and hoped never to see her again.
