mmmmkay... let's carry on with that...

garbage argument... most messaging software DOES insert RE: in the subject
lines... witness the millions of users' messages in usenet, forums and every
every bbs program that's been used in fidonet since the beginning... inserting
RE:, Re: or re: is not an error and never has been... what is and has been in
error is poorly written software that inserts additional RE:, Re: or re: on the
subject line... software that cannot handle RE:, Re: or re: is in the minor
group all over the world...

and folks wonder why i've blown my top trying to talk about things with michiel
over the years? michiel wouldn't last 5 seconds on the rest of the 'net if he
came out there with these arguments...

the FTN specs do not deny such nor do they promote such... michiel is
definitely on a political agenda here... especially with this type of
diatribe...

michiel is a professional at manipulating the truth... just one look at his
sheepskin covered walls will easily show that... that's the only thing i can
figure... he was obviously taught that he is right because he went to school
and paid X amount of $$$ to get some papers that says he knows what he is
talking about and doing... some people might believe that but real world
experience does *NOT* show that to be true...

more semantic games... this is a personal attack against you because he cannot
see anything in the nodelist that indicates a direct method of comtacting your
system but the software he uses, like many others, does not have this problem
of human interpretation of unspecified rules or regulations... is this yet
another fault of the binkd mailer and thus a further denigration of the fidonet
ideals and purpose? fidonet did not fight against or disallow Z2's ISDN only
nodes... fidonet also has not fought against the non-FTS-0001 compliance of
binkd... fidonet, as a whole, has allowed for alternative communications
methods and yet the FTSC chairperson is attacking one of the oldest and most
basic forms of user interaction with others in fidonet???

that's michiel to the core... the truth takes a while to come out but there it
is... others have also caught him out like this... but i'll let them speak up
if they desire to ;)

being behind is not the question... being able to *communicate with others* is
the goal and task... the basic ideal of fidonet... can michiel say that his
system performs any activities to assist those who might use his system's
services for internet traffic gated to fidonet so that they can participate via
their text only systems? can he say that his system supports unsighted people
or those with hearing disabilities that cannot acquire newer equipment that
allows for graphical participation? can he say that he provides even a basic
messaging service that handicapped folks missing their upper limbs arms can
use?? i don't think so... QWK and BW offline method offer these services,
though... especially that software that can provide these capabilities... and
then you have systems like mine which provide services like these for nodes,
points and users in situations like these... what does michiel say/project?
"i'm sighted, i'm not handicapped, and i don't care about folks who cannot use
today's machines and internet capabilities"... but he supposedly cares about
others, basic fidonet communication capabilities and the network as a whole?
someone seems to have blinders much too large for their head :(
