"Ross said" - not what I said, but what Ross said.
Remember that.  It was Ross' claim that Tim had sent
Ed a "nasty" email.  Not my claim.  Not Tim's claim.
But Ross' claim.  Unsupported and unsubstantiated
claim.

The claim was made by Ross Cassell, not me.
Tim Richardson denied having sent Ed Koon a "nasty" email.

Ross Cassell publicly admitted to having gotten Ed Koon to cut
Tim Richardson's access to the Fidonews echo.  For no stated
reason.  Only that he asked Ed to cut Tim's access.  That had
absolutely nothing to do with me, but everything to do with
Ross Cassell.

Are you saying or suggesting that Ross Cassell lied?
I can quote what Ross Cassell wrote, in his own words,
just a few days ago, in the All Politics echo.

That is not the email.  It may be a recollection of an email
that Tim was discussing in the All Politics echo, but was not
the email itself.  Especially since nothing that Tim wrote
contained anything "nasty" or "derogatory".

Besides, it was a private exchange, between two parties.
Not really relevant to the issue under discussion.  Except
as a diversion.

Since you know all about this secret email, why don't you
show us all the email in question?  That way, it won't be secret
any more, and I'll stop asking about it.  Best way you can shut
me up.

Tim denied the charge.  When challenged, Ed Koon was not able
to produce evidence of claim.  In other words, Ed Koon lied.

Show me the email.  If it exists.

I promise to shut up if you can produce it.

You keep talking about that fictional email.  If you are so sure
it exists, then show me.  If you can.  Otherwise, just admit the
truth - Ed Koon lied.

In a private exchange, parties can say whatever they want.
With, or without, the use of expletive deletives.  What you
call "nasty", others might call "lovely".  Some folks enjoy
the activity, known as insult humor in some circles.  Those
who are really good at it make a mint insulting audiences
wherever such fools can be found.

Gosh, I miss the flame echoes of Fidonet ...
