You claimed to have watched it happen in person. This what you wrote:

As I said, it could not have happened as you claim: a NEMA plug does not fit
into a Schuko socket.

Your memory fails you, you got it from hearsay and/or you pimped up the story.
You thought you'd get away with it, not counting on anyone being familiar with
the situation of US equipment being imported by US service personel stationed
at US basis in Europe. As I told you there was a US air force base 10 km north
of here and we had US American neighbours working there.

Your report is inacurate. No big deal, but it makes one wonder what other
stories you have pimped up or otherwise reported inaccurately...
