Lincoln had lots of enemies, in both the North and the South.
Was the doctor part of the conspiracy to have him murdered?
There are a lot of unknowns, and historians are still studying
the matter.

John Wilkes Booth was an actor, and a Southern sympathizer.  But
he was no murderer.  On at least two separate occasions, he gave
a private performance at the White House for President Lincoln.
Had he wanted to off the President, he had opportunity.  And yet
he chose not to do so.  Why would he wait until after the war
was lost, the US being one country no longer divided between
North and South, to off Lincoln?  That makes no sense.  No sense
whatsoever.

The preachers would have gotten mad at him.  And the press corps
would have screamed.  The self-righteous holy than thou members of
Congress would have pointed fingers at him, crying shame, shame.
But really, nobody would have cared.  Unless the big dawg had
gotten a blowjob from a guy.  In which case, he would have become
this country's first neutered president.

Pretty much.  Except for the self-righteous crowd, who would have
kept pointing fingers at him forever.

Lying about sex is a very popular, as popular as mom and apple pie.
Think about it.  You lie to your parents about sex, but tell your
friends everything.  Or at least you did, once upon a time.

JFK swam in the nude in the Rose Garden.  He also had many wild
flings with floozies.  So did Jackie, but nobody said much about
that.  Point is, presidents are not saints.  They do the same
thing that [almost] every person on this planet does.  The world
has not changed from what it was yesterday.  The difference is
things are more open.  More is reported, rather than not reported.

Have we had presidents who were/are gay?  I would think the odds
are very much in favor of yes.  It is only a matter of time until
we have a president who is openly gay.  Probably sooner rather
than later.

Is being gay an impeachable offense?  Would Bill Clinton have
been impeached and removed from office had he had an affair with
a male intern rather than a female intern?  What if Hillary
Clinton invites Monica Lewinski to a party at the White House ...

Everybody lies.  We all do.  On average, about four times a day.
But not all lies are crimes.  Such as lying about sex.  Remember,
this was two consenting adults ...

What does the US Constitution mean by "high crimes and misdemeanors"?
What did the Framers of the Constitution have in mind by that phrase?

Whatever for?  If some of those missing emails are an exchange
between her and a secret lover, what business is it of ours?
