Why should state and local officials have the say as to what
to do with the remains of the homeless?  Every individual should
be treated with human dignity, including the dead.  Would you
piss on Hitler's grave if you could find it?  Or would you stomp
on it, like some crazy fool who was mad at the world?

Everybody deserves a marker, even those who are unknown.
We have the tomb of the unknowns, for soldiers who have fallen.
So why not a tomb of the unknowns for the other soldiers of
this world?

The state of North Carolina cremates the remains of the homeless
whose bodies are unclaimed and/or unknown.  Every three years,
the cremated remains of all those dead people are scattered at sea,
thus saving the land for those who have the money to actually buy
a burial plot.

The Environmental Protection Agency says that cremated remains
must be taken at least three miles offshore to be done away with,
due to provisions in the Clean Air Act.  Seems to me it should be
more about clean water than clean air, but since they regulate
both the sea and the air I guess it covers both.

The cremated remains of Robin Williams were scattered over the
waters of San Francisco Bay, apparently from an airplane rather
than a boat.  Not even the dead Kennedys could get away with
that, as demonstrated by JFK, Jr. whose ashes had to be carried
out to sea by boat rather than by plane.

How do you want your remains disposed of?  John Wilkes Booth
died penniless, so his lawyer had his body stuffed and sold it
to the traveling circus.  I do not think that is allowed any
more today.  But many people do donate their bodies to science,
which has the right to do pretty much whatever it wants with
the dead.

Many unclaimed bodies wind up being turned over to science,
but not all are useable.  And since it cost taxpayer dollars
to cremate them, and more taxpayer dollars to get rid of the
cremated remains, we must find a better solution.

Hence the need to find a live volcano.  Drop the bodies into
the volcano and let molten lava do the rest.
