Belief is not dependent on evidence.  Neither is faith.  That is
not the issue.  We all have our own beliefs, whatever those beliefs
might be.  Even scientists have their own beliefs, especially in
regards to scientific method.

The something that a believer believes in does not have to make
sense.  Especially to others.  A true believer will believe in
whatever he/she believes because that is what he/she believes in.

For example, it does not have to make sense to believe the moon
is made of green cheese.  If that is what a true believer believes,
then that is all that matters, regardless of what modern science
has to say.

Instead of the challenge you present, here is a better one, and
much more difficult, but yet related to the same premise -

Jesus railed against divorce and adultery.  But where did Jesus
ever condemn anybody for sex?  Whether within marriage, or outside
of marriage, between a man and a woman, a man and a man, or a woman
and a woman, where is there condemnation by Jesus?  He apparently
never condemned same-sex marriage.  He apparently never condemned
sex between consenting adults (regardless of gender).  The only
thing I could find was His insistence that within marriage both
partners be faithful to each other, with no other partners outside
of that union.

IOW, the premise Jesus presents is individuals should be free
to love those they truly love, not having to be forced to pretend
to love those whom society insists.  For Jesus, marriage was a
choice, not a requirement.  For Jesus, premarital sex was not a
sin.  For Jesus, having children out of wedlock was not a sin.
For Jesus, there were not bastards or bitches.  Everybody was
loved and meant to be loved.

Show me those quotes where Jesus condemns folks for having sex.
If you can.
