Michiel, OBVIOUSLY when the respective ZC's said they were downing their zones,
the other ZC's had to adapt their makenl to remove the last Zstub they had for
the zone removed from production.  Thats just basic maintenance.  They were
given a set date and followed it.  Even Z5C did that.

You did not see Z5's final message.  It was only in the ZCC echo.

What happened in Z6, you have been in denial of since day 1.  Much of it went
away before i got there whrn Singapore pulled out over an 'honor/face' issue
and overnight 700 nodes lost access.  It's too bad it shifted to Bin Li instead
of the Japan RC who was far more technically oriented and left over it about 2
months before i got there (though he was running a mailer still with no reply
to netmail in 2006).  When Bin Li finally shut down the remaining sysops went
with a technically capable person even though operating 9 months of the year
from shipboard.

What shifted Z6 in the end was a combination of TELCO charges (no one but me
had a reliable phone line) and ISP access (nominal still in some parts of Asia
and quite expensive, often with pay per MB quite high).  A vote was taken and
the remaining nodes asked me to see if I could shift them to Z3 if we could not
instead shift the Asia portions of R50 in to take over.  Yes, R50 almost had
it's own zone.  The R50C would have become Z6C.  There were however too many
issues percieved with that so it did not happen.  At least a portion of that
was Bin Li just before he left, adding many duplicate R50 listings to Z6
without approval that upset quite a few.

There was high potential to damage Z2 if things were not done inan orderly
fashion so I worked with Ward to remove the entries and then looking at it all,
the damage was potentially too high to Z2 to transition a portion of R50 so it
did not happen.  Plan 2 was effected instead with Z3C and a net that was
optimal.  Dates for transition of various pieces were posted and followed.  The
ONLY trailer was Steve (3:800/0) hasn't removed the down node entry used for
final personal transition.  He's been netmailed (in fact again 2 days ago) and
I may have to contact Scott Little if it continues.

Z6 in the end had no one capable of being a ZC.  That is not the same as the
last node left standing which is why it was more complex to shift the zone than
in Z5's case.

Of course, you will ignore the reality yet again, but maybe some who have not
heard the truth will recognize what is going on here.  There's nothing here you
have not been told many many times already.
