Yes.

Why ask me? Why ask at all? TTBOMK "demonstrating need" is not a requirement
for obtaining a node number. If I am wrong please point me to the rule that
says so.

That goes for countless others as well who have been operating as a point. Yet
when John Smith asks for a node number the whole fishing gear is rolled out to
real in the fish. He is proudly listed as "in the making" in your "new and
returning sysops" in your local rag even if John Smith does no know shit from
shinola when it comes to Fidonet technology. John Smith isn't "told what to
do", John Smit gets the red carpet treatment, no matter what. A new node is a
new node.

Except.... when the applicant's name is Ward Dossche Then the fishing gear is
tucked away quickly and the fish repellent comes out...

I won't because "need" is not a requirement for obtaining a node number.

Then please provide figures to back up your claim. How many US boy scouts have
applied - and were granted - a node number in the last 11 years? What are their
node numbers?

So why did Carol xxx need a Z6 node number when she temporarily resided in
Japan? Could she not have posted from a point number just the same?

So... why does your "friend" Bart Verhaeghe need a node number? If I were asked
- but I wasn't - I would say that he does not need one. He has been operating
his system as a point for quit some time and that worked fine.

Nevertheless he got a node number. You know why? Because "need" is not a
requirement for a node number. It does not matter that he does not need a node
number. It also does not matter that made a fool of himself and walked away
from Fidonet with slamming doors several times. It does not matter that he
alienated himself from the R28 community with his hostile attitude. None of it
matters. Because:

He asked for a node number.
He demonstrated the ability to send and receive netmail.
He provided the information required for the nodelist.
He got a node number.

your own system. I did not create an archive.

In that case I wonder why you still are linked to ENET.SYSOP. There is nothing
in there that concerns you.

Is the concept or "reciprocity" beyond your comprehension?  Is it really so
hard to understand that when my ZC is not welcome in your zone sysop area, that
you are not welcome in mine? Do you have no honour?
