Scott,

I am unable to access http://www.ftsc.org from my ADSL connection. This is
because whoever is hosting the site is blocking the 59.0.0.0/8 address space.
Below is a form letter that my ISP sends out to sites that are blocking these
addresses. Could you please contact whoever is hosting the site and perhaps
forward them the message below so that they can fix the problem. Thanks.

I represent the technical support group at an Australian ISP.  You're receiving
this email message from me because I've been able to determine that you are in
some way connected with the technical operation and management of ftsc.org.

We've recently received an allocation of IPv4 address space from APNIC which
has been drawn from 59.0.0.0/8, which was previously marked by IANA as
"reserved".

IANA redesignated it (along with 58.0.0.0/8) nearly a year ago. Nevertheless,
we're finding that a number of network operators have continued to block those
addresses in their bogon filters.

It would appear that ftsc.org is one of those network operators. We have had
complaints from at least one of our customers to say that resources on your
network are unreachable, which is why you are receiving this email.

I need to ask you (or possibly your ISP or web hosting provider) to review your
bogon filters, on every device on your network, to ensure that they're not out
of date.

If you are a web hosting provider or ISP, I'd like to suggest that you check
the bogon filters on your customer sites where possible, to ensure that they
are not performing buggy bogon filtering.

You can confirm that 58/8 and 59/8 are no longer "RESERVED" by consulting
IANA's database at http://www.iana.org/assignments/ipv4-address-space

We've established 59.167.1.1 as a test address on one of our Sydney routers.
Your servers should be able to ping this address; if they can't, it's likely
that incorrect bogon filters are preventing them.

I apologise for the form-letter nature of this mailout.  We've been dealing
with a few of these over the last few days, and we're trying to cram as much
background and information as I can into our initial contacts with responsible
parties.

Your urgent assistance in this matter is appreciated.
