Actually, mmy personal opinion is that allowing EONs was a mistake. Mail
deliveray depends on them polling their ISP to pick up the mail and so they
heve the reachability of a point. They should be treated as such.

Points excahnge mail with their boss node by private arrangement. No need to
contaminate the nodelist with that.

Sorry Alex, but if one is in such a situation one does not qualify for node
status, just as one does not qualify when one is on a corporate's private PSTN
bracnch exchange and can only vall out.

Frankly, I have set to see a convincing reason.

Sorry, I don't. More protocols no more make life easier than having both metric
and witworth nuts and bolts. They compell you to have two sets of spanners. It
just makes the toolbox twice as heavy.
