So? Aren't they needed? In CP850 there are characters that are used only in
German. Should I dispense with them for that reason? How about echos that are
bilingual, Russian and Ukranian?

Presently I have no use for Cyrillics, I can't read Russian. Nor Ukranian or
Belorussian. It is not likely I ever will, I was never good at languages and I
think I am too old to learn a new language. But one never knows.

Anyway, the fact that I personally don't need it, does not mean I don't
recognise the problems associated with it and that I won't think about how to
solve them.
