Ärende: Two related questions plus one to the candidates

We can wait for next problem:

ICANN started to implement IP v6 last days.

Carol understood one of issues with DNS. I don't have to look at Asia for this
- Germany is (more than) sufficient. www.mueller.de works fine while
www.m^nller.de will cause trouble for many systems.

We have multiple restrictions in nodelist and we have a burden with old
software while there is almost no chance to get several leading products
re-coded.

Let's start to think about one issue after the next:_
Problem: We must avoid to recommend a solution causing modems to call land
lines or whatever when it is an IP address.

Possible solutions:
- Use another field (not phone number) to publish IP address
- Malform a nodelist entry in a way it becomes invalid for "normal" phone
detection but, change software like binkd to detect IP address (here I see a
chance). Malforming it might also be possible with some combination of flags
which should be taken into account by any mailer.
- Mis-use of i.e. system name field. Connection info is more important than ego
of some people. Sysops not being able to understand need of indication of
connection info should get a recommentation to update their stoneaged software.

So far some short sentences to give food for further thought. ;)
