No, it is not my "opinion". I know what 'broken software' (?), or buggy
software is. I've been involved in the business at a professional level for
years. But you know that Ward... you know that Ron and I have been professional
programmers for years, because you met us here in the states <grin>.

Amazing you don't comment about Kim's software :) But I think both author's
have done an amazing job and I would never crab or complain about their work. I
joke a lot about BBBS to people but I happily registered it and suggest BBBS to
others when I think it's appropriate :) I think Kim did a great job, and so did
Rob Swindell.

Nothing to do with language generally... but in this case, I think it is a
problem. Look at how he states the problem... a "broken" package" because
words are chopped off the ends of a sentance.. what does that tell you? He
cannot get the context of a sentance from the main words of the sentance. It's
not such a big deal.. but it's obvious that it is the problem for him.

Of course he does.. Nick is a great guy :) but regarding SBBS...First of all,
Rob takes care of _bugs_ as well, there are very live echos in Fidonet today to
prove that one :) Take a look someday :)

Second of all, you can't compare a _bbs_ program and _Mailer_... apples and
oranges, Ward.... Two different Animals :) Matter of fact, SBBS lets people
swap out the editor in question with another editor.. should they choose to...
just like most bbs programs do. :) How is that "broken"?? How is that
"buggy"??

> The product of an author who does not do that is not 'freeware', it is

What a joke :) It's very alive and in use, and very frequently updated.

> Yes, I know ... that is my opinion.

I'm glad you said that, not me :)

Take care,
Janis
