Rai says --------------

I thought I might share a funny account that occured to me this
morning on my way to work. It won't be too long.

Every morning I'm always alighting at Martin Place of the morning peak
to head to work. Very routinely, I'm on the same train, standing at
the same door and noticing the same passengers every morning, so
nothing ever mends from the normal.

However, the past few months I've been doing this commute, I always,
ALWAYS, notice after coming to a stop at Martin Place and the doors
opening, there's always this young woman who always dashes ahead of
everyone towards the middle escalator and runs really fast up it to
get to the top, being ahead of everyone. Resultedly, she is the first
person to emerge onto the empty concourse at the station, and first
one out of the ticket gates and then continues on walking in a casual
manner towards the Colonial Centre building.

Every morning I notice this (And yes, she is good looking and also
seems sophisticated), and I'm always to the assumption that she's out
to get her daily fitness by running up those really long escalators at
Martin Place every morning, so I wasn't really fussed. This morning
was an exception.

I was in a funny good mood, full of energy and enthusiasm and needed
to burn off some of it. Before arrival at Martin Place, my thoughts
were to burn some of this off running up the escalator, and then I
remembered this woman's expected run as she emerged from the top deck
ready to get off. I thought it'd be a great stir if I were to also
attempt the same after we got there, and also run up the adjacent
escalator at Martin Place just to see fast I can go before dropping
dead.

As soon as the train stopped, and doors opened, I dashed out the
doors, followed by her. She overtook, and jumped onto the centre
upwards escalator and began her dash. I jumped onto the adjacent also
upwards escalator and also began my dash. I seemed to manage well
running further and further up and after only a few seconds, overtook
her halfway up as I continued running up the escalator towards the
top. I got there, as she slowly was drifting back in her pace, I made
it onto the empty concourse, and out of the ticket gate. At this
point, she and the other commuters were starting to emerge onto the
concourse from the escalator.

I finally slowed down to catch my breath, and then made my way to work
to the Colonial Centre. Michel's Patisserie greeted me and I thought I
should have some breakfast, being a cheese, bacon and egg meat pie, my
favourite, and I was lucky too, there was only one left. The fella
behind the counter took my order and put it into the paper bag, and
then out of know where, was that lass who routinely runs up the
escalators. She then made an order for that same pie, and after the
fella told her that I just got the last one, she then began yelling,
swearing and abusing me! In her rage, she yelled "I'm always f**king
running up the station to get this pie! ALWAYS! Rah rah rah, b***h,
b***h, b***h, etc".

"Whoa sister, relax. There are other good pies here too" I replied,
feeling politeness is better than whit. After saying that, she screwed
her face and stormed off, leaving me all confused and baffled. The
Michel's fella handing me the pie and taking my change told me also
had that look.

Now. How much do you wanna bet that tomorrow, she either catches an
earlier train, or will really make sure to overtake me as I walk up
the escalator?

Some people ..."

SECOND POST:

"Rightio, this morning...

Got on my usual train, and got to Town Hall as routinely. However,
didn't chat to fellow Railpager wurx as much, as he was busily wurking
flagging off trains. I continued on, catching an earlier train to
Martin Place which was only 3 minutes ahead of my routine one. I had
doubts as to whether she'd be on the usual train, but went on anyway.

Got to Martin Place, raced up the escalator (And no female trailing
me), got out onto the empty concourse, through the gate and straight
to Michel's. The same chap behind the counter as yesterday, and I
noticed two of those pies. I said "Damn, my game isn't going to work
today", but I bought one anyway. I was thinking I should buy the
second, but then as I was handed my change back, the bloke who runs
the adjacent chemist came over and bought the second pie before he
opened up shop. "Yes! Now the game will work?"
Pharmascist: "Huh?"
Me: "Oh, nothing, nothing. Carry on"
And immediately I could see the smirk on the Michel fella's face.

So I stood there infront of the counter, devouring the pie, and
telling him how good it was, and him telling me how popular they are.
Then following, I heard an inbound train arrive, and the inaudible DVA
announcement from the platform. Surprise surprise, a minute later, old
mate shows up around the corner running towards Michel's Patisserie
and is greeted to the sight of me half-way through the pie, as well as
a grin of me enjoying it. She ran to the counter, saw that the Cheese,
Bacon and Egg pies were empty, and turned to me immediately to
start...

"OH GET F***ED YOU S***HEAD!" out loud, to the curious sight of
onlookers around the place as well as other commuters walking past
"F***ING IDIOT!", and stormed off onto Colonial Centre, not giving me
a chance to say anything to her. The pharmacist opening his roller
door also looked on, baffled like I was yesterday.

Then the admission of guilt. The bloke behind the counter asked
"you bought that just to cheese her off didn't you?".
"Well, not really. I love these pies, and I'd have a million of them,
and so does she by the sounds of it"
"Good work brother. She comes to us during lunchtime and is really annoying"
"Oh really?"

"Yeah. What she doesn't realise, is that there are another 10 of these
pies almost ready in our oven now, and we stock them in another 5
minutes".

My goodness that made my day

Now, I think I've played enough games. Hopefully she hasn't gone far
enough to put a price on my head or shoot herself. I'll happily just
reserve and buy her one tomorrow. And no, I have very little interests
in her, after the last two outbursts. I doubt her mobile number will
make it to my phone.

Oh, I almost forgot. I have a g/f."
